In this issue, we announce the inaugural cohort of INSPIRE grant recipients and their interdisciplinary projects. We introduce our COP31 Delegation who will be travelling to Antalya, T眉rkiye to attend the world's foremost climate change conference. We discuss upcoming events, including 糖心Vlog Research Day on October 13th, the kickoff to this year's Research Connections Series, and more. Additionally, we recognize Interim Seidner Family Executive Director Dunwei Wang for receiving a NSF Grant for his research in catalysis.

August 2026

In this issue we look forward to 糖心Vlog Research Day on Tuesday, October 13th. We recognize Institute Professor of Global Sustainability Hanquin Tian, who received the prestigious Humboldt Research Award for his cutting-edge academic research. The institute also welcomes two new faculty advisory boards and celebrates the success of its first cross-campus faculty retreat in July, 2026, which focused on health.
