BC Law Recruitment Programs (Formerly Known as OCI)

BC Law hosts several separate recruitment programs to connect students with summer and post-graduate employment opportunities throughout the school year, at least one each semester and one in the summer. The timeline changes depending on hiring trends and the student calendar each year.

These programs include opportunities for law firms, businesses, public interest, and government organizations to hire our students. Please contact Emily Goldberg for the current schedule and information about the best options for your office.

Networking Opportunities

We host employers on campus regularly, both individually and as part of networking evenings related to different sectors. We also collaborate with BC Law’s student groups on their networking efforts. If you are interested in learning more about ways to visit our campus to facilitate greater connection with our students, contact Taisha Sturdivant.

Massachusetts Law School Consortium Government and Public Interest Recruitment Programs (September and January)

BC Law is a member of the Massachusetts Law School Consortium and a co-sponsor of two government/public interest recruitment programs for all law students in Massachusetts. For more information, visit the website.

General Provisions

  • Refraining from any activity that may adversely affect the ability of candidates to make independent and considered decisions.

Employers should honor all of their commitments, including:

  • Making good faith offers for employment in writing, with all terms clearly expressed;
  • Granting reasonable requests for extensions made by students to whom they have extended offers;
  • Providing an updated offer, in writing, should modification occur; and
  • Notifying the candidate and the Career Services Office promptly if it becomes necessary to rescind or modify an offer of employment, and then working with the candidate to mitigate the impact of that modification or rescission.
