Galina Paquette is a dedicated language educator with an MA in Education, specializing in foreign language teaching, from Ekaterinburg, Russia, and a graduate certificate in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language from Lomonosov Moscow State University. She brings over a decade of teaching experience to her work. In 2016, she served as a Fulbright Russian Teaching Assistant at Brandeis University, and since 2021 she has taught at Wellesley College, Boston University, and the Kathryn W. Davis School of Russian at Middlebury Language Schools. Her work focuses on teaching Russian as a heritage language, with particular attention to the patterns of errors heritage learners make and the instructional approaches that can address them.She is a co-author of "A Corpus-Based Study on Orthographic Errors of Russian Heritage Learners and Their Implications for Linguistic Research and Language Teaching" (Languages, 2024).
