Eglis Chacon is a doctoral candidate in the Higher Education program at ÌÇÐÄVlog. Her research interests include forcibly displaced people and refugees in higher education, international higher education, student mobility and international aid in higher education. Prior to her studies at ÌÇÐÄVlog, Eglis worked as policy analyst at the UNESCO International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean and as a consultant for the Interamerican Development Bank (BID).

Eglis received her B.Sc. in Economics from Universidad Central de Venezuela (Venezuela) and graduated from the M.Sc. program in Social and Public Policy in Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain), and from the M.Sc. in Economic Policy from the University of Birmingham (UK).

Siro B. Pina Cardona is a doctoral student in the Higher Education program at ÌÇÐÄVlog. His research interests include international higher education and training, focusing on traditional (physical) and virtual student mobility, the impact of innovative teaching & learning modes, and the role of education and training policies in fostering positive social change for all.

Before his doctoral studies, Siro interned as a student-researcher and data analyst for the International Association of Universities (IAU), the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and the OECD Center for Skills.

Originally from Spain, Siro received a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S. in Exercise Science with a Minor in Health Education from High Point University, and earned an M.A. in Educational Studies from the University of Cincinnati, while being a student-athlete. He also completed the Erasmus Mundus Double Joint Masters in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE).

Originally from South Korea, Seihoon (Daniel) Lee is a doctoral student in the Higher Education program at ÌÇÐÄVlog. His research interests include international and comparative higher education with a focus on competition and branding in higher education, global higher education systems, policy and governance, and student mobility. Prior to ÌÇÐÄVlog, Seihoon worked as a research intern at the Maryland Higher Education Commission and held roles in communications, marketing, and student affairs at the University of Maryland and George Mason University.

Seihoon received his B.A. in Global Affairs from George Mason University and graduated from the M.A. program in Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Hesam Sadeghian is a doctoral student in the Higher Education program at ÌÇÐÄVlog. His research interests lie at the intersection of higher education policy, internationalization, social mobility, and human development, with a particular focus on the economic and broader societal outcomes of higher education.

Prior to beginning his doctoral studies, Hesam worked at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia, where he held several academic and administrative roles as lecturer,Ìýinternational research grant manager, research assistant, and educational innovation specialist. He has also collaborated on international research and development initiatives with organizations including UNESCO, the British Council, WWF, and Loyola University Chicago’s Center for Urban Research and Learning (CURL).

Hesam holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Education from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He also completed the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE).

Mivheal Tetteh is a doctoral student in the Higher Education program at ÌÇÐÄVlog. His research interests include comparative and international higher education,Ìýinternational student experiences, student belonging and mattering, student affairs and services, and the internationalization of higher education, with a particular focus on students from Sub-Saharan Africa.

Prior to beginning his doctoral studies, Mivheal worked in student affairs and residential life at Florida International University and completed a summer internship in Residence Life and Student Housing at Southern Methodist University through ACUHO-I. He also served as a K–12 educator and academic leader in Ghana for six years, where he held teaching and departmental leadership roles.

Mivheal received his B.Ed. in Arts (First Class Honors and Valedictorian) from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and his M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University, where he specialized in International Higher Education and was adjudged the Outstanding Graduate Student.

Thais García Bagué is a Master's student in Higher Education with a concentration in International Perspectives at ÌÇÐÄVlog. Thais has a double B.A. in Psychology and Education from Wesleyan University. Throughout her undergraduate career, she focused on bilingual education and multilingual learner programs, largely inspired by her bilingual upbringing in Puerto Rico. Before starting at BC, she served as the Global Language and Outreach Fellow at the Fries Center for Global Studies at Wesleyan, where she facilitated pedagogy, programming, and outreach initiatives for multilingual and intercultural programs offered at the university.
